Responsibilities:
Maintains all patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders Greets patients and other visitors, answers, and routes calls to appropriate staff.
Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, to include pre-certifications and pre-authorization for services and enters data in appropriate databases.
Coordinates with managers and doctors to maximize the daily patient census.
Collects and enters patient payments in databases.
Be a team player in actively participating in staff meetings to support key functions within the Clinic.
Ability to work with others and in a team environment Organizational Skills Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with eCW is plus though training can be provided Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent customer, interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing Organization and time-management skills Basic math skills Attention to details Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time Required Education,
Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred Two or more years of medical office administration experience and Insurance Verification.
